2015 Season Trophy Results Up-Date

With the evening TT events now finished and with only the Hill Climb to go we can now announce the winners of the Evening Series Ranking Trophy and the Handicap Trophy.

Evening Series Ranking Trophy

This year saw Ed Clark return to the club following a year out and straight away Ed is back to his winning ways taking the Evening Series Trophy with 95 points but was pushed all the way by Alasdair Wylie who finished second with 92 points. Simon Tonge once again finished in the top three and took third place with 76 points.

Handicap Trophy

This year saw a very close competition with the lead changing hands just about every week, this trophy takes your best six handicap results to sort out the trophy placings which is why the lead can change so many times during the season. John Allen was the eventual winner with 52 points closely followed by Alasdair Wylie with 47 points with Chris Brewer taking third place with 44 points. John McGlashan was fourth with 38 points followed by Peter Horsfield and Alistair Lang both on 37. We had 22 riders scoring points towards this trophy and as you drop down the field most riders are separated by 2 to 3 points as you go down each block of 4 to 5 riders so things could have been very different if results had gone slightly different by a second or two, we been had some riders with identical race times once the handicap times had been subtracted which doesn’t often happen on a Thursday night, one event saw the same top three riders in the scratch event also take the same top three place in the handicap again a very unusual occurrence but all was above board so again a very close season. Lets hope next years evening TT events are as competitive as this year or hopefully even closer as Alistair Lang should be back to full fitness having taking some family time off and Mick Dean may get to ride more events next year which would add to the battle front but things would be even hotter if Eddie Allen wasn’t away at uni for the start of the evening events, guess we will have to wait and see!

Don’t forget the Hill Climb at Ranmore Common Road GH/41 next Thursday 20th August 19:00 start time followed by Fish & Chips!
