About

Who are we?

The Redmon Cycling Club was founded in 1935, in Morden, Surrey (the club’s name is an anagram!) the club has around 50 members, of all ages, including some lifelong members who have been with the club since before the second world war! Many of our members actively race with representatives in most disciplines of the sport, the most popular being Time Trials.

Today we are still based in the Surrey, but have members all over the country. During the Summer months we generally organise a series of evening time trials on a local course near Dorking. There was a short break in this last year, due to a lack of organiser, but for 2019, they are back on! Keep a look out for news. And during the winter our traditional Sunday morning club rides take us through the lanes and quieter roads of Surrey, Kent and Sussex.

We also run two open time trials: an early season 10 mile one, and later in the season – the very unique Grand Prix de Gentlemen. Unfortunately, the same circumstances were against us in 2018, but we will run these events again in 2019 – see the Racing page for more information.

As a cycling club we are currently affiliated to British Cycling, Cycling Time Trials (London South District) and Southern Counties Cycling Union.
