The Redmon trophies that can be awarded each year are listed here, but it’s up to the club members competing for them to make their claims.  To compete in the trophy competitions, club members must submit their results to the racing committee within six weeks of the event date. Senior Road Race Championship Cup trophy

 

Presented from Club Funds

Awarded on a points basis throughout each season, in open and association events.
Junior Road Race Championship Cup Presented by Hon. Life Member Jim Burrow. Awarded under same conditions as senior trophy.
Schoolboy Road Race Championship Cup Presented by Vice President Ken Gadd Awarded under same conditions as senior and junior trophy.
Track Championship Cup Presented from Club Funds. Awarded on a points system each year.
Best All Rounders Cup Presented by the Club to replace a small B.A.R. cup from pre 1939 given to Ron Martin our only surviving founder member Awarded to the member with the best average m.p.h. over 25, 50, 100 miles and 12 hours in any club, association or open event each year.
185 Trophy Presented by the Club Awarded to the member with the best average m.p.h. over 10, 25, 50 and 100 miles time trials in club, association or open events each year.
Veterans Best All Rounders Cup Presented by George Wright. It was the Kingston R.C. Club 50 cup, re-engraved and awarded to the veteran over 40 years of age returning the greatest V.T.T.A. ‘plus’ over 25 – 50 and 100 miles in any club, association or open event each year.
Junior Best All Rounder Cup Presented by Ron Martin:
Vice-President, Founder Member, Hon.Life Member, Past President.
Awarded to any member under the age of 18 years on the day of the event with the best  average m.p.h. of any 10 and 25 miles time trial, in any club, association or open event each year.
Club Events Championship Shield Presented by Bert Lowe:
President 1957-1961 replacing a pre-1939 shield.  All the small  annual shields are now on the back of the new shield.
Awarded on a points basis in nominated club events, 1 point for each ride completed – plus 3. 2. 1. for 1st – 2nd and 3rd placings.
Open Events Championship Shield
(Formerly Points Award Shield)
Presented by Maurice Hens. Awarded to the rider gaining the most points in CTT Open events throughout the season.
The Marshals Bowl Presented Anonymously in Memory of Joe Childs.    Joe was a Veteran when he joined the club in the 1950’s never raced, but would be the first to volunteer for any marshalling point, at any distance and at any hour, always on his bike, and never late. The Racing Secretary keeps a list of marshals for each club, association and open event throughout the season, and the winner is only announced at the Annual  Prize Presentation.
The Bert Lowe Memorial Trophy Presented by Bert’s Parents.   Bert died tragically, falling from a building when making an inspection as a Borough Surveyor. Bert’s life was the Redmon – President 1957-1961, Chairman, Secretary, Captain and organiser of numerous Home and Foreign Tours. Award made by committee decision
The Committee At The Time Felt An Award In The Memory Of Bert Could Only Be Something Very Special And So It Was Agreed With Mr & Mrs Lowe That The Award Should Be Allocated By A Sub Committee, Comprising The President, One Hon.Life Member And One Member Of The Committee, To The Member It Felt Had Done The Most To Enhance The Name Of The Redmon In Any Sphere Of Cycling.
The Kingston Phoenix R.C. – Redmon C.C. Inter-Club Team Shield Contested by 6 person teams The winners being the club producing fastest six riders on aggregate time.  When won by the Redmon the 6th fastest team member holds the shield.
10 Mile Junior & Juvenile Competition Plaque Presented by Jim Higgs – one time Club Treasurer. Awarded to the member under 18 years of age with six best handicap placings in club evening 10’s.
Over 30’s Handicap Tankard (Changed To Over 40 – 1979) Presented by Bill Hens in memory of his father Maurice, President of the Club for 8 years. The tankard is solid silver, was paid for by the club members and presented to Maurice the year before he died. Maurice instituted the President’s Run in November 1955. Awarded to the over 40 years of age rider returning the best handicap time in a nominated club ‘25’.
Tricycle ‘25’ Cup This trophy had been won by a ‘bird fancier’ member and was rescued from his dustbin – it is re-engraved. Awarded to the member recording fastest time on a tricycle in any club, association, or open event each year.
Spoco Trophy Presented by Jim Budd in 1983. An elegant cup awarded on a points basis, throughout the season, scored in a series of pre-designated open “Sporting” events, including a number of ‘Hilly’ promotions. SPOCO is short for Sporting Courses competition.
Most Improved Novice Plaque A new plaque is purchased each year out of club funds and kept by the winner. Awarded by the Racing Committee to the most improved first year time trialist.
Triers Cup Presented by Councillor Vincent Talbot, member of the Merton & Morden Council. Awarded by the Racing Committee to a member who has made great efforts but not won any other award.
10 Miles Championship Cup Presented by George & Dorothy Reed to celebrate their retirement in 1976. Awarded to the fastest rider in the 10 Miles Championship Event.
25 Miles Cup Presented by the Gwent C.C. Awarded to the member returning the fastest time in any club, association or open event each year.
30 Miles Cup Presented by E.C.Woodall. (Leader Cycles) Awarded under the same conditions as the 25 Cup.
50 Miles Cup Presented by J.Surman. (Vice-President 1946/48) Awarded under the same conditions as the 25 Cup.
100 Miles Cup Presented by A.M.F.Palmer – M.P. for Wimbledon Awarded under the same conditions as the 25 Cup.
12 Hour Cup Presented from Club Funds. Awarded to the member recording the greatest distance in any club, association or open event each year.
24 Hour Cup  The George Hall Memorial Cup Presented by the Club.   George was Club Secretary when he was killed in his mid 20’s while cycling home from work.  He was one of the first club members to ride a ‘24’ and had a passion for the longer distances. Awarded under the same conditions as the 12 hours Cup.
Junior 10 Miles Championship Cup Presented by Mrs Vera Lees. Awarded to the fastest junior rider in 10 miles Championship Event.
Junior 25 Cup Presented from Club Funds. Awarded under the same conditions as senior 25 Cup.
Ladies 25 Cup Presented from a collection by ‘The Boys’. Awarded under the same conditions as Mens 25 Cup.
Ladies 10 Miles Shield Presented from Club Funds. The base originally held a solid silver plaque presented to the Road Records Association in 1893 by the North Road Cycling Club for the 24-hour bicycle record. The Victorian lady on a Fecile High Bicycle was donated by Keith Robins and made from an 1882 drawing by George Moore.
Senior Evening ‘10’ Handicap Trophy Presented by Hennie & Maria van der Klis. Awarded to the senior member with the highest number of points from any six rides in the evening ‘10s’. Points to be 6 for 1st place to 1 for 6th on handicap.
Ladies Best All Rounder Trophy Presented by Hennie & Maria van der Klis. Awarded to the Lady member with the best average mph over 10, 25, & 50 miles, in any club, association or open time trial each year.
Randonee Trophy Presented by the Club Awarded on a points system determined by the greatest total of miles ridden.
